Regarding the deposit
For reservations made more than two months in advance, a deposit may be required as a down payment on the accommodation fee. Regarding cleaning and linen changes for a 2-night stay.
As part of our commitment to environmental sustainability, we change the sheets in the hotel rooms every two days. If you would like us to replace it, please feel free to let us know. We will clean your room every day, but if you do not require cleaning, please let us know and we will prepare amenities for the number of nights you are staying in advance. Please note that cleaning is carried out daily between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. If you are staying in a villa, we have a plan that includes complimentary services and does not include cleaning during your stay. In that case, we will provide amenities for the duration of your stay. If you are staying in a villa, cleaning will generally be done every two days during your stay. Pets allowed

Regarding putting away and taking out futons
The futons are already laid out and ready for you. If you would like to use the space for your futon as well, we will arrange it for you. In that case, please lay it out yourself.

It's not impossible, but the temperature can drop considerably in the evenings depending on the day, so hot pot dishes are actually a better option.
The period during which BBQ facilities can be used and BBQ equipment can be rented is from mid-April to mid-November. Depending on the snowfall conditions during the winter, chairs and tables may be removed and unavailable. Please inquire if you are planning to use the facilities close to the start of the season.
Can we have a BBQ even if it rains?
We have a rain shelter (awning), so you can use the facility even in rainy weather. However, it cannot be done during severe weather conditions such as typhoons, very heavy rain, or strong winds. If severe weather is forecast, please adjust the ingredients you bring so that you can cook indoors. Please note that when cooking indoors, cooking methods that may leave a lingering odor, such as yakiniku (Japanese BBQ), are limited to using the provided stovetop (under the hood). (The use of hot plates indoors is prohibited.) Please refrain from cooking garlic or seafood, even under the hood, as these may leave a lingering odor the next day.

There is no cancellation fee for BBQ equipment. We regret to inform you that BBQs cannot be prepared in case of severe weather. We apologize, but if we are unable to contact you, we will make changes without prior notice.

We have ample parking space available, but if you are arriving with more than three cars per room (e.g., one car per person), please let us know in advance. Parking is free. Hirugano Plateau is located at an altitude of 900 meters. The average temperature is 7 to 8 degrees Celsius lower than in urban areas such as Nagoya and Osaka. (It's very similar to Sapporo.) During the day, temperatures can drop to -6°C to -7°C, and at night to around -10°C. Except for July and August, you will need long sleeves and a jacket. Outdoor events such as barbecues are best held between June and September; warm clothing is necessary at other times of the year. Since temperatures can drop to -20°C in winter, diesel engine vehicles must always use diesel fuel containing de-icing agents.
The autumn foliage is at its best from late October to early November, and the area is covered in snow from December to March. The tennis season runs from mid-April to mid-November. Winter sports will begin with the opening of artificial snow slopes in mid-November.
My car is not a cold-weather specification model.
There are no issues with driving the car, but the battery tends to die more easily in winter. If possible, we recommend checking the battery fluid and other components beforehand. Also, for diesel engine vehicles, please use diesel fuel containing de-icing agent. (This service is available at gas stations in Shirotori-cho and Takasu-cho, Gujo City.) In our parking lot, we see about 10 cars each year that become immobile due to their diesel fuel freezing. Incidentally, there is an Idemitsu gas station next to our hotel. (Open from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM) Additionally, from December to March, it is necessary to carry tire chains or use studded tires.
Can we do fireworks?
We are very sorry, but fireworks are prohibited on our premises. We ask for your understanding regarding any noise, such as smoke or loud voices, as these may disturb our neighbors.
When can we see fireflies?
Fireflies appear from late June to around the end of July. The best time to see them is especially around mid-July, and on sunny days, you can see them on the grounds between 7 PM and 9 PM. Additionally, the Japanese bush warbler and the lesser cuckoo sing from May to October, while the common cuckoo begins singing around late May. In the Tokai region, the Great Snipe, which is only known to breed in this area, can also be seen here during the summer.
