We are now in the latter half of October, and although we continue to have pleasant autumn weather, there are also more days when the mornings and evenings are getting colder.I was hoping to have a resort experience even if just a little closer before the real cold sets in, when I saw information about the opening of ``Grandome Fukuoka Fukutsu.''I was born and raised in Fukuoka, so I knew that the sea in the Fukutsu area was beautiful, so I was really drawn to the idea of being able to do glamping in such a beautiful setting. So this time, I decided to invite a friend and make my glamping debut!
My first glamping experience at Grandome Fukuoka Fukutsu was full of excitement and excitement.I will now tell you more about our glamping experience!

I drove to Grandome Fukuoka Fukutsu in Fukutsu City, Fukuoka Prefecture. It's about an hour from my home, and about 1 minutes from Hakata.Just the right distance for an overnight trip nearby. This is a distance that even those who are not good at driving for long distances can travel without any burden. This time, I took the expressway and got off at the Koga Interchange, but on the way back I didn't use the expressway, and it took about an hour to get to Hakata. If you have time, I think it would be a good idea to take a leisurely ride instead of taking the expressway.
This area is known by everyone who lives in Fukuoka and has a beautiful sea.Fukuoka has beautiful, highly transparent waters to the west and east, and Fukutsu is truly the center of the beaches in the east area.A glamping facility has opened in Tsuyazaki, which is crowded with beachgoers in the summer, and it has become a hot topic in Fukuoka.
The Fukutsu area overlooking the ocean is very laid-back, and it has a relaxing and calm atmosphere that makes it hard to believe that it is only 40 minutes away from Hakata.I thought it was the perfect place to get away from everyday life and enjoy the resort feeling.
As soon as I parked my car in the parking lot, I immediately saw the administration building (center house) with a large "Grandome Fukuoka Fukutsu" sign written on it.After checking in at the front desk, we moved to our room, but at this point I was already very excited!Because there were so many food activities available there.
``First of all, I have to go put my things down,'' we said as we moved to our room. Then, I noticed a shelf of amenities with the words ``Feel free to take them'' written on them. ``Since it's glamping, there might not be a lot of amenities...'' I prepared a lot of skin care products and facial cleansing products, but it was so complete that I regretted not having brought it!I was surprised to find that they had sheet masks, bath salts, and even hair clips to tie your hair, just like you would find in a luxury hotel. This is a great consideration for women.I thought it would be OK to do this empty-handed.
Speaking of glamping, what everyone imagines is a stylish dome tent that looks great on Instagram. The dome tent at Grandome Fukuoka Fukuoka was as stylish as I expected. The atmosphere is so wonderful that you can't help but take pictures, and my friend and I are immediately excited.
Inside the dome tent is a hammock!I tried using it right away, and it was surprisingly comfortable and made me forget about everyday life.A sofa is placed in front of the semi-transparent dome, and you can sit here and enjoy the view outside.
We stayed in a dome tent called "Central Dome" located in the center of the grounds.Since it wasn't a "Marine Dome" facing the sea, I didn't have high expectations for the view, but I was very lucky to actually be able to see the sea!I was able to fully enjoy the resort feeling.
However, depending on the location of the dome tent, there are some parts of the Central Dome where you can't see the sea at all, and some parts where you can see a little of the sea.
After taking a breather in the dome tent, you should definitely try out the food activities!and returned to the center house.Grandome Fukuoka Fukutsu offers a variety of hands-on activities such as ``Taiyaki making,'' ``Pizza making,'' ``Potato chip making,'' and ``Smoking experience,'' of which each group can participate in up to two activities. You can now try it out for free.
Let's start by making pizza!Pizza dough is already shaped, and all you have to do is add sauce and toppings to it and put it in the pizza oven, so even kids can easily cook it.However, the pizza oven is a full-fledged one that burns wood for heating. The staff put firewood in from the back of the kiln and lit it.A few minutes of waiting.Wood-fired pizza is the best! The dough was crispy and chewy and was exquisite.
The next thing we chose was the potato chip making experience.Slice the potatoes with a slicer and fry them crispy in the fryer.Freshly fried potato chips are so delicious you won't be able to resist them!Even though I knew that if I ate too much here, I wouldn't be able to eat dinner, I couldn't stop myself from putting it in my mouth (lol)
Grandome Fukuoka Fukutsu also had many other food-related activities available, such as ``Yame Tea Marche'' and ``Cotton Candy Making.''As an unparalleled coffee lover, I couldn't resist Coffee Marche.Choose your favorite raw beans from a wide variety of coffee varieties, roast, grind, and drip coffee yourself.Being able to drink freshly roasted and freshly ground coffee is the ultimate luxury.
There are many table seats available in the center house, where you can enjoy the food and drinks you have prepared. The weather was nice, and we had a blissful time in a semi-outdoor space with a great sense of openness, with coffee we brewed ourselves in hand.
When we finished all the activities and stepped out of the center house, we could see the sky beautifully dyed with a gradation of pink and blue. It's sunset time just after sunset. As I walked towards the sea to admire this beautiful scenery for a while, I found a wide open space!
There is no dome tent in the part of the site that juts out into the sea, just a bench facing the sea.The open lawn area allows you to enjoy the ocean view to your heart's content. After enjoying the beautiful sunset with my friend, we returned to the dome tent.
We had requested a BBQ at 18:XNUMXpm, so the staff brought out lots of ingredients a little before the start time. From colorful salads to Angus beef, spare ribs marinated in special sauce, jumbo inner meat, shrimp, cheese fondue, tail soup, ajillo, and more, it's a huge amount!
The meat is very tender and juicy, and the spare ribs are soaked in the flavor of the sauce, making them exquisite. As a Fukuoka native, I was happy to be able to enjoy not only meat but also seafood.By the way, you can choose your favorite vegetables for grilled vegetables at the "Vegetable Marche" in Center House. As the theme is local production for local consumption, they use plenty of local ingredients, and they also change the contents according to the season and the new ingredients that arrive from time to time.I felt that they were very particular about food.
Meals are served in a dedicated dining space right next to the dome tent. This space is attached to all dome tents, and also includes a kitchen, bath, and toilet.Of course, there is also air conditioning and heating. It was a bit chilly that day, so I ate with the window closed, but I thought it would be nice to be able to eat comfortably while looking outside through the glass, even in the middle of winter.
The deck with the dome tent also had a fire pit where you could start a bonfire.Firewood and fire starters are also provided, so you can freely enjoy a bonfire in a private space.
I was looking forward to the bonfire experience after dinner. However, as night fell, I suddenly saw a flash of lightning, and then it turned into heavy rain. After that, the sky looked strange as the full moon suddenly appeared and it started to rain again, but once the rain stopped, we were able to make our long-awaited bonfire a reality!
The weather was unstable at night, in contrast to the sunny weather during the day, but after the bonfire, we headed to the clear dome next to the center house to enjoy the gelato we had been looking forward to.When you look into the showcase, you'll be excited to see so many different types of gelato lined up, just like at a gelato shop. After a lot of hesitation, we couldn't make a choice, so we decided to try out a few different types of gelato, one by one, in a cup.
All of them were very delicious, but I especially liked the Hokkaido melon. My friend seemed to like the Belgian chocolate. You can eat a variety of things, so even the greediest people will be satisfied.
It was getting late at night, so I filled up the bathtub with hot water to take a bath. The bathtub is made of ceramic with a Japanese feel that makes you feel like you're in a hot spring inn.One thing that surprised me when I stayed at Grandome Fukuoka Fukutsu was how spacious the bath was!
If you soak in the hot water with the window open, you will feel as if you are bathing in an open-air bath.It was a chilly day, so the hot water felt very comforting.I had such a blissful bath time that I could instantly get rid of my daily fatigue.
The next morning, the blue sky spread out again and it was a very pleasant morning. The staff brought breakfast to our room around 7:XNUMX the next morning. We were worried that we might not be able to eat breakfast because we ate so much yesterday, but our appetite returned once we saw the delicious breakfast.Breakfast that day was a roast chicken burger, boiled eggs, and vegetable soup. It's easy, just toast the buns on the BBQ grill and heat up the soup.
We took the chairs outside and had the roast chicken burger on the wooden deck. The freshly baked buns are very delicious, and the soup has a gentle flavor that soaks into your body.I am very satisfied by eating a delicious and nutritious breakfast in the morning.Check-out was at 10am, so I had time to relax and look at the ocean after dinner, so I was able to spend more time on the second day than I expected.
Grandome Fukuoka Fukuoka is a resort that can be reached in about 40 minutes from the center of Fukuoka, but it has such an extraordinary feel that even we, as Fukuoka residents, felt like we had gone far away to experience a resort. Moderation! The food menu and facility decorations seem to change depending on the season, so I thought it would be a good idea to visit again in different seasons.
The glamping experience exceeded my expectations, and as I headed home, I said, ``If there's a place like this nearby where you can spend a luxurious time easily, I'll definitely come back! How about spring or summer next time?'' I said to my friend on the way home. Ta.
