After a long day at work, if you're planning a trip to the Kansai region, wouldn't you like to escape the crowds and just relax while gazing at the sea? This time, instead of going shopping in the city, my husband and I decided to rent a car in Osaka and head straight to "Glamping Resort Awaji" on Awaji Island for an overnight stay! In this article, JOY TV, who lives in Osaka, will share our one-night, two-day glamping experience at "Glamping Resort Awaji" on Awaji Island!

This time, my husband and I rented a car from Osaka and drove for about an hour and a half to the campsite on Awaji Island. When we arrived, we truly felt like, "Wow! We can finally relax!" This glamping facility on Awaji Island is located on a slight hill, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a panoramic view of the ocean around Awaji Island.

Upon arriving at the administration building and completing the check-in process, we were greeted by incredibly kind and helpful staff who provided thorough explanations, making us feel truly welcomed. The most delightful aspect was the opportunity to make our own popcorn in the common area! For those of us who don't camp very often, this little touch instantly enhanced the outdoor atmosphere. We highly recommend that other travelers try it out.

We booked a room with a private open-air bath. The room offered plenty of privacy, allowing us to relax and enjoy our own little world without worrying about being disturbed. The room itself was very spacious, and the private terrace outside was perfect for just relaxing and enjoying the sea breeze. The bed was a little on the soft side, which is a matter of personal preference, but for us, who had been out and about all day, it was just right for getting a good rest. Having a private open-air bath in the room is a real highlight! You can use it whenever you want. The amenities and toiletries were perfectly provided, making it basically as convenient as staying in a hotel.

The star of this dinner was Awaji beef, a specialty of Awaji Island. Grilling the meat ourselves outdoors was a particularly wonderful experience, and the Awaji beef was incredibly tender, with juices and sweetness filling our mouths with every bite! The vegetables provided by the facility were also fresh and plentiful. Enjoying the BBQ while listening to the sounds of insects in nature and feeling the night breeze was a truly relaxing moment.

Breakfast the next day consisted of sandwiches and local milk, famous in Awaji Island. It looked simple, but eating it in the cool morning air, I was full before I knew it. This kind of thoughtful inclusion of local ingredients truly makes you feel sad to leave.
After checking out, we headed to some tourist spots around Awaji Island. Awaji Island has so many things to see, and the best thing about a road trip is that you can stop wherever you like! After checking out, we first went to "Lei Kitchen," which is directly managed by the hotel. The scenery is amazing, and every spot is perfect for taking Instagrammable photos. Also nearby is the popular "Nojima Scuola," where you can enjoy restaurants and meet cute little animals.
Driving along the coast, you'll pass by "Chef Garden" and "Ladybird Road," which are lined with stylish restaurants and shops. If you have time, we recommend taking a "Naruto Strait Whirlpool Cruise" or visiting the "Uzunooka Great Naruto Bridge Memorial Museum."
