"Glamping & Port Yui," our glamping facility with 21 units and large tents, opened in Shimada City, located in central Shizuoka Prefecture. You can enjoy a unique outdoor glamping experience in a somewhat nostalgic atmosphere, including activities that you can experience only at "Glamping & Port Yui" and a glamping BBQ where you can enjoy Shizuoka's local ingredients.

  Glamping & Port Yui is Shizuoka's first glamping facility, which is a fully renovated former elementary school. There are 6 units in total, and we offer 21 types of rooms: Japan's first opera tents, bell tents for outdoor enthusiasts, twin domes for large groups, popular domes with a diameter of 5M, and dog-friendly opera tents.
- Individual Dining Space / Principal's Room Bath/ Amenities
  Each tent has a separate dining space on its deck. The all-weather design allows you to enjoy a BBQ safely and comfortably even on rainy days. Wet areas such as shower booths and restrooms are available in the adjacent school building. We have set up an indoor bath, an outdoor bath, and a sauna in the space of the former principal's office, so that even beginners of outdoor activities, women, and children can enjoy their time with peace of mind.
- NIGHT BAR to Enjoy in the Middle of the Nostalgic Schoolyard
  Our NIGHT BAR service is available from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm in the transparent dome in the center of the site. We offer a wide variety of drink menus, including draft beer, lemon sour, highball, and wine that will appeal to adults. - Opera Tent with a Dedicated Dog Run

- This is a dog-friendly opera tent. It is available for private use and equipped with an air conditioner and heater. We also have a private dog run, pee pads, dog bowls, and crates, so you can enjoy a comfortable outdoor stay with your dog.
  
  There are 3 dog opera tents in total. One unit has two queen beds and Two units have 1 single beds.
  When allocating rooms, we will take the number of guests and other details of your reservation into consideration. Although it is not confirmed, if you have a preference for the type of bed, please write it in the request section when making a reservation.

Opera Tent
- This is Japan's first opera tent. It has a unique design reminiscent of the Sydney Opera House. Because of the high ceiling, the indoor space with air conditioners and heaters has an open space that cannot be compared to other tents.
  
  There are 4 opera tents in total. 2 units have 2 queen beds and other 2 units have 4 single beds.
  When allocating rooms to each building, we will take into consideration the number of guests and other details of your reservation. Although it is not confirmed, if you have a preference for the type of bed, please write it in the request column when making a reservation.

Twin Dome
- This room type is connected domes for large groups. Two dome tents are connected, creating a large space that can be used comfortably by groups.

Lotus Belle Tent
- This Lotus Belle Tent is for outdoor enthusiasts. It has a cute plump onion-shaped form. The cotton-fabric guest rooms are fully equipped with air conditioners and heaters, so you can comfortably enjoy a stay all year round.
  
  There are 3 Lotus Belle Tents in total. One unit has 1 queen beds, other 2 units has 2 single beds. When allocating rooms, we will take the number of guests and other details of your reservation into consideration. Although it is not confirmed, if you have a preference for the type of bed, please write it in the request section when making a reservation.

Dome Tent
- This is Shimada City's first dome tent. It is popular and has a diameter of 6M. Each tent can be used for private use, with its own BBQ space, so you can enjoy your stay without hesitation. Of course, it is fully equipped with air conditioners and heaters, so you can stay comfortably all year round.
  
  There are 9 dome tents in total. 5 units have two queen beds, and other 2 units have 4 single beds. When allocating rooms, we will take the number of guests and other details of your reservation into consideration. Although it is not confirmed, if you have a preference for the type of bed, please write it in the request section when making a reservation.

This is a full-course BBQ menu where you can enjoy the "Plank Grilling," a popular BBQ cooking method in the U.S.! By placing ingredients on a wooden plank soaked in water and grilling them together, the ingredients absorb the wood aroma, and they get plump and juicy. This menu uses plenty of local ingredients, allowing you to enjoy delicious dishes of Shizuoka, the "Food Capital."

  There are 5 shower rooms each for men and women (6 in the school building and 4 by the pool), and multiple toilets for men and women as well.

  A powder room is available in the large bath and shower room in the school building.

  A barrel sauna is available in the large public bath. Enjoy a "Tototou" glamping experience to the fullest.

About Reservation Plans and Usage

What time is check-in/check-out?
Check-in: 3pm / Check-out: 10am
Can I do early check-in/late check-out?
Late check-out is not possible, but early check-in is possible if you use the school building such as the gymnasium. If you would like to do so, please select the option when making a reservation on the website.
Early check-in is from 1pm to 3pm.
For those who have applied for early check-in, please note that due to room cleaning, your room will only be available from 3:00 pm.
Can I use the Internet in my room?
Yes. Wi-Fi is available in both guest rooms and the school building.
Can I bring my pet?
Only guests staying at the "Dog Opera Tent" can bring their dogs and stay with them.
*Please note that dogs are not allowed in the tent areas other than the "Dog Opera Tent." Thank you for your understanding.
Are cats allowed as well?
I am afraid only dogs are allowed.
Do you have vending machines?
They are available at the school building.
Is there a parking lot?
We have a free parking lot available for guests staying at our facility and those using the school building.
Can I smoke in the room or in the school building?
Smoking, including heat-not-burn cigarettes, is prohibited in the rooms, inside the school building, and indoors. Please smoke only in the designated areas.

The individual BBQ space is equipped with an awning roof and vinyl curtains, so you can enjoy a BBQ in any weather.
Are there air conditioners and heaters?
Each room is equipped with air conditioners and heaters, so you can stay comfortably all year round.
Can the refrigerator in each guest room store frozen foods and ice cubes?
Yes. The one installed in each guest room is a 2-door fridge, and it has a freezer, so you can bring frozen items as well.
Could you tell me about the hot spring facility and available hours?
There are 2 large public baths (indoor bath and outdoor bath) in the school building.
There are three shower rooms each for men and women in the school building.
There are two units each for men and women by the pool.
Available hours: 300 pm - 11:00 pm, and 7:30 am - 9:00 am the next day

*The shower rooms by the pool are not available in the morning.
*Regarding the large public bath, the morning bath is not available due to the maintenance only every Wednesday morning.
The shower rooms in the school building are available in the morning, so please feel free to use them.
When can I use the pool?
It is scheduled to be open from June 2025th, 6, to the end of September.
・It is available from 13:00 pm (early check-in) to 21:00 pm on the day of your stay (no prior reservation required).
・Between 13:00 pm and 15:00 pm, you still cannot enter the tents, so please change your clothes in your car or in the shower room in the pool building. (The shower room is a shared space and is not very large, so you cannot leave your luggage here.)
・We do not have rental swim rings or swimwear, so please bring your own.
・Rental pool towels are available as a paid service, but we recommend that you bring your own.
・Air pumps are available for free.
・You cannot use it on your check-out day.
・The water is not heated as we use the pool at an elementary school.
・There are some areas where the water is 30cm deep. Small children are also welcome to use the pool.
・Please be careful of heatstroke as there is no shade at all.
・Please note that the pool may be closed due to bad weather.

Where can I have a barbecue during my stay?
Guests with the "One-night-with-two-meal Plan" and "Room-only Plan" can enjoy their meals in the dedicated BBQ space adjacent to each tent.
We have individual BBQ spaces for you to enjoy.
Can I bring food and drinks to a BBQ?
Please feel free to bring food, drinks, etc. Please make the most of the refrigerators (with freezers) available in each room.
Can I make a day trip to your facility to enjoy a BBQ?
I am afraid day-trip use of our facility for BBQs is not currently available.
