This is the first large dome tent glamping facility in Tsuru City, Yamanashi Prefecture, located approximately 80 minutes from Tokyo in the Kanto region. As the name suggests, THE FOREST is located in the forest, and you can spend your time in the middle of nature.You can experience nature-based activities that both children and adults can enjoy.

  We offer a glamping BBQ menu that can only be enjoyed here, using ingredients from the Yamanashi area, including the brand Wagyu beef "Wine Beef" from Yamanashi Prefecture.
- The relaxing natural onsen is located 2 mins
  away from THE FOREST on foot.
  We, THE FOREST, give out a free onsen ticket for "Basho Tsukimachi no Yu" located 2 mins away from our facility. It will be a wonderful time to enjoy both glamping and an open-air bath, hearing the beautiful sound of the river. After taking a bath, you can enjoy delicious BBQ. (Basho Tsukimachi no Yu is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.) The onsen is normally closed on Mondays. (If Monday is a holiday, it is closed the next weekday.) *When it is a busy season, it may be open depending on the situation.

Forest Dome with private garden and dog run [4 beds]
- The dome is equipped with 4 single beds. Doggies are very happy and satisfied with a private dog park, too!

  It can accommodate up to 2 small dogs.

Japanese Modern Forest Dome [4 beds]
- Rooms with modern Japanese-style interior decoration. Four single low beds are set on a tatami-mat style floor. Recommended for groups who want to relax, and for families with children due to the low bed specification.

THE FOREST offers an all-you-can-drink plan for draft beer, whiskey, and sours from 15:00 PM to 21:00 PM. Of course, we also have a wide selection of soft drinks.

Easy glamping BBQ menu

We also offer a simple BBQ set as an additional dinner option for guests staying overnight, allowing you to enjoy a casual BBQ. This menu is perfect for those who want to simply enjoy a BBQ. The BBQ grill set (3,850 yen including tax) and all-you-can-drink alcohol are included free of charge! All-you-can-drink alcohol is available between 3:00 PM and 9:00 PM.

We also offer new ways of working for the new era, including 75-inch monitors and multifunction printers that can be used for training, etc.

  All guest rooms are equipped with air conditioners so that you can comfortably enjoy yourself anytime you visit our facility.

  - It takes approximately 80 mins from Shinjuku.
  - From Tokyo / Shinjuku, take Koshu-kaido Avenue / Route 20 on Metropolitan Expressway Shinjuku Route 711 via (Prefectural) Route 4.
  By Train
  - Approximately 55 mins from JR Shinjuku Station to Otsuki Station
  - Take JR Chuo Limited Express at Shinjuku Station and get off the train at Otsuki Station. We prepare a shuttle bus there.
  By highway bus
  - Approximately 80 mins from Shinjuku Expressway Bus Terminal to Chuo Expressway Tsuru
  - Get on a highway bus from Shinjuku Expressway Bus Terminal and get off at Chuo Expressway Tsuru on Fujigoko Line. We prepare a shuttle bus there.
  About free shuttle buses
  - We operate a free service of shuttle buses at JR Otsuki Station.
    (Please consult us via email or phone if you want to take a shuttle bus from Tsurushi Station on the Fujikyu Railway or Chuo Expressway Tsuru.)
    We will pick you up at 2:50 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. (The check-in time is at 3 p.m.)
    We will send you back at 10 a.m. or 10 p.m. from our facility. (The check-out time is at 10:00 a.m.)
    
    About the service out of hours
    We will charge you 1 yen per time (Tax included) for the shuttle bus service to JR Otsuki Station out of hours. (By taxi, it costs about 3,000 yen.)

About Reservation Plans and Usage

What time is the check-in and check-out?
Check-in: 3 p.m. Check-out: 10 a.m. *Please contact us in advance if you will be arriving after 5:30 p.m.
Is it available for a day trip?
We’re afraid it is not available for now.
Are there cancellation fees?
30 days to 8 days prior: 50% of the room charge

*However, in the event of a typhoon warning issued by the Japan Meteorological Agency on the day of your stay at THE FOREST or at your address indicated at the time of reservation, cancellation fees will be waived.
*Even if the number of domes is reduced due to a change in the number of guests, the stipulated cancellation fee will be charged.
(e.g.) Reservations for 2 rooms for 4 persons are changed to 1 room for 2 persons, etc.

There is a room called Forest Room with a dog park (4 beds), and you can stay with your dog in this room only.

About Our Facility

What amenities are available for the room?
Set of towels (bath towel and hand towel), shampoo, body wash, hair conditioner, toothbrush, pajamas, cotton swab, cotton, razor, brush, makeup remover, toner, milky lotion, etc… *Please bring pajamas for your kids.
What cooking tools do you have?
Cutting board, kitchen knife, kitchen scissors, can opener, wine opener, etc…
Do you have tableware?
Yes. We have paper plates and paper cups.
What kind of condiments do you have?
We provide salt, salt and pepper, yakiniku sauce, soy sauce, salad oil, rock salt, and black pepper. Ketchup and mayonnaise are available for purchase at the convenience store.
Is it possible to have meals and BBQs even if it rains?
Yes. When the wind is strong, we might ask you to move to the administration building, do a BBQ and eat meals in there.
Do you have Wi-Fi?
Yes, each tent is equipped with Wi-Fi.
Do you have an air conditioner and heater?
Yes, each tent is equipped with an air conditioner (and heater).
Is there a TV in the tent?
No. However, you can enjoy a magnificent view of Mt. Fuji from your room and terrace.
Are power outlets available?
Yes. It is available in each tent.
Are there bathrooms and toilets?
Yes. In the administration building, there are shower rooms and bathrooms. There are 7 shower rooms and they are available in each room.
Is there a parking lot?
Yes. There is a free shared parking lot.

About Meals

Until when is it possible to order meals?
We accept reservations of up to 3 days in advance.
Is it possible to buy ingredients at the administration building?
We sell one-plate dishes, BBQ skewers, steak meat (single item), and other items that can be grilled and eaten straight away.
Is it possible to bring ingredients and beverages myself?
Yes, you can. Guests using a meal plan can also bring in additional ingredients to grill. There is no corkage fee. However, if you need to cook using fire, you will need to rent our BBQ grill (3,850 yen). (* Guests using a dinner plan will receive a BBQ grill free of charge.)　
Can I order breakfast only?
Yes, it is possible. Please make a reservation for the room only plan and choose breakfast only
Can I bring my own fire table and stove?
For safety reasons, flammable equipment and use of fire are prohibited.

Are there nearby convenience stores and supermarkets?
Yes. Cainz Supermarket Tsuru is approximately 10 mins away and Daily Yamazaki Tsuru Bypass is approximately 5 mins away by car.
Is it possible to do fireworks?
Yes. It is possible to do sparklers at a private firepit at each spot.
Until what time is the campfire available?
You can enjoy it until 10 p.m. in each room.
About lost items
You can send it to us cash on delivery. The storage period is two weeks, after which it will be disposed of. In addition, any food or drink left behind will be disposed of on the same day.
What happens if I leave the room dirty or damage the equipment?
If the item is badly soiled, we may charge you a cleaning fee, and if it is damaged, we may charge you the actual cost.
Do you take measures against wild animals?
Yes, we have installed wildlife repellents around the facility. However, please be aware that they are not 100% effective at preventing wildlife.
I want to cancel because I'm worried about the wildlife. Is that possible?
We apologize for any inconvenience, but our standard cancellation policy will apply.

We sell fireworks, marshmallows, snacks, appetizers, cup ramen, rice, etc.
