Yugawara Town is the southernmost town in western Kanagawa Prefecture.It is one of the oldest hot spring areas in the Kanto region, with abundant and high quality natural hot springs. From over 1,000 years ago to the present day, it has been loved by many travelers, great writers, painters, and other cultural figures.Kanagawa Prefecture's first glamping facility, ``The Base Glamping Yugawara,'' has opened in this hot spring village surrounded by the sea and mountains, close to Atami and Hakone, with hot spring baths in all buildings.

  The highlight is the 100 % natural hot spring. The open-air bath is very spacious and has the area of approximately 7㎡. Please fully enjoy the natural onsen known as one of the oldest in Kanto any time as many times as you want to!
- The site area is over 110㎡, and the rooms are all available for rent as a suite villa.
  There are 6 types of rooms to enjoy rich nature in a luxurious private space. We offer 6 types of guest rooms meeting costumers’ needs. All rooms are equipped with open-air baths with fresh and natural water, and a bonfire space allows you to have BBQs. You can spend a wonderful time, feeling rich nature, in a high-quality private space in Yugawara.

dog base
- A room type that allows you to bring your dog along with a hot spring bath for your dog.Like the Suite Base, this room has a loft and can accommodate up to 5 adults.Equipped with an outdoor living room centered around a private bonfire BBQ space, and an open-air hot spring bath with natural hot spring water.
  *It can accommodate up to 2 dogs.

Sauna Suite Base
- This suite base is equipped with a dedicated barrel sauna and cold bath. Please experience “Totonou” and enjoy a wonderful moment in Yugawara. The guest room equipment is the same as Suite Base, including a private sauna and cold bath.※Dogs are not allowed in this room.

Dog Suite Base
- This room is dog-friendly and equipped with an onsen for dogs. The Dog Suite Base offers an outdoor bonfire deck and indoor kitchen. There is a loft for a sleeping space that overlooks the living room.
  *It can accommodate up to 2 dogs.
  *You need to take stars to the sleeping space, so if you are physically handicapped, small children, or afraid of heights, Dog Base is recommended.

THE YUGAWARA with SAUNA
- The container house and sky deck located on the cliff’s edge are truly breathtaking! The room overlooks the view of the streets of Yugawara Onsen and feels like it is blending into the nearby mountains adorned by seasons. This is the Executive Suite at THE BASE GLAMPING YUGAWARA, which continues to evolve. On August 23, 8, it was equipped with a private sauna and cold bath.※Dogs are not allowed in this room.

Inner fire pit suite
- This room reopened after renovation in April, 2024.
  The all-weather bonfire space “Inner Fire Pit” offers comfort not affected by the weather or season and an innovative space seeking luxury.
  If you open a door, the place turns into a semi-outdoor space where you can feel the fresh natural air.
  The structure is totally private, and you can go to the semi-open-air bath with fresh water directly from the bedroom with a loft. The room is the closest to the reception and the market.※Dogs are not allowed in this room.

We have a bonfire stand in the BBQ space dedicated to each building.

About Reservation Plans and Usage

What time is the check-in and check-out?

Would it be possible to have an early check in or late check-out?
It is not possible to check in early, but it is possible to park a car if you arrive here before 3 p.m.
A late check-out (paid service) is possible depending on the reservation status, so please inform us when you arrive here.
Is it possible to bring my dogs?
It is possible to stay at “Dog Base” and “Dog Suite Base” with your dogs.
*Please refrain from bringing animals other than your dogs.

About Our Facility

What amenities are provided?
We provide towel sets (bath towels, face towels, body towels), shampoo, body soap, conditioner, hand soap, skin care set, toothbrush, razor, cotton, hairbrush, pajamas, Samue, and slippers.
Is it possible to have meals and BBQs even if it rains?
The bonfire space has a retractable roof.
Do you have an air conditioner and heater?
Yes. Each room is equipped with air conditioners and heaters.
Do you have Wi-Fi?
Free Wi-Fi is available in each building.
Is smoking allowed in the guest rooms?
No. However, you can smoke outside. In a guest room, smoking including e-cigarettes is prohibited.
Is there a restroom?
Yes. Each building has an individual bathroom (toilet).
Are power outlets available?
Each room is equipped with outlets that you can use freely.
Is there a microwave oven?
It is not installed at each building, so if you would like to use it, please inform staff at the administration building.
Can I bring my own fire table and stove?
Bringing fire-causing equipment is not allowed. Thank you for your understanding.
Do you have condiments?
We have salt, pepper, olive oil, crazy salt, and soy sauce.
*Customers applying for a room-only plan can also use this service.
What beverages do you have?
We have one bottle of Kirin craft beer per person, Odawara lemon chuhai, orange juice and drinking water in the refrigerator in your room (all included in the fee). *The content may change.
At the “Marche (market)” in front of the reception, you can enjoy draft beer, whisky, drinking water, and various soft drinks with no additional cost (available from check-in until 9 p.m.).
Additionally, wine and sake are available until 6 p.m. except on Thursdays. (A list is provided in your room.)
Do you have a menu for kids?
Yes. We offer a hamburger menu that can be easily made with a bonfire for children from 3 to 12 years old.
*Please note that this option is not available for the Sudomari plan.
Is it possible to use the Marche even if I choose the Sudomari plan?
All of our guests can use the Marche!
*Children can also use it.
Is there a fee to enter the Marche?
This is included in the accommodation fee, so please feel free to use it at your leisure.
What time are the drinks at Marche open until?
Available until 21pm. Please take some time to enjoy the hot springs and sauna after consuming alcohol.
Do you have clothes for a bonfire?
Yes. We have clothes called “Samue” prepared to avoid getting dirty when setting up a bonfire.
*M, L, LL, KIDS sizes If you need a different size, please feel free to let our staff at the reception know.
Do you have supplies for your dog?
We provide tableware, pet sheets, disinfectant spray, and dry towels.
*Please bring your own dog's food.
You can also rent yukatas and bathrobes for free at Marche.
Can my dog sleep on the bed?
We do not allow you to put them on the bed.We have a cage available for you to use.

About Meals

Where can I have a barbecue during my stay?
There is a bonfire BBQ space installed for all guests with the plan with meals and the Sudomari plan.
Can I bring food and drinks to a BBQ?
Please feel free to bring food, drinks, etc. Please make the most of the refrigerators (with freezers) available in each room.
Is it possible to accommodate food allergies or specific dietary preferences?
We can adjust the menu and change ingredients according to allergies you have. Please inform us if you have allergies at least 3 days before your stay.
*If you have allergies or specific ingredients you don’t like, we recommend the “Sudomari” plan, where you can bring your favorite ingredients.
If meals are included plan, what time are they served?
Dinner: Food will be prepared in the refrigerator before check-in.
Breakfast: We will deliver the breakfast to the breakfast box located near the entrance of your room at your requested time.

*Tai Chazuke (Rice with Tea) will be delivered directly to your room.
*During the summer, breakfastboxes are also delivered directly to your room due to the high temperature.

Others

Is it possible to do fireworks?
For safety reasons, fireworks are prohibited. Fireworks are permitted only in designated areas during the summer.
Is there a convenience store/supermarket nearby?
About 7 minutes by car is the "Eco-op Yugawara store" (open all year round, 9:00-20:00)
Lawson Yugawara Miyagami store (open 2 hours a day, 24 days a year) is located about XNUMX minutes away by car.
Is it possible for people using a wheelchair to stay at the facility?
We apologize, but our facility does not have wheelchair-accessible rooms.
